Terms & Conditions
The terms governing use of this website and our services.
Last updated: 24 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of this website, operated by Electric Cargo Transport MX SAS de CV. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Website content
The content of this website is provided for general information about our shipping, logistics and marine services. It does not constitute an offer, and no contract arises from it. Service descriptions, routes, capabilities and vessel availability are indicative and may change.
3. Quotations and contracts
Quotations are prepared individually and are valid only for the period and on the terms stated in the quotation itself. A binding contract arises only when we issue a written confirmation or a signed agreement. Our services are otherwise provided subject to the standard trading conditions applicable to the relevant service, including any applicable bill of lading terms, charter party terms or port agency conditions.
4. Operational dependencies
Shipping, logistics and marine operations depend on third parties and on conditions outside our control, including port authorities, terminals, customs, weather, vessel availability, canal and straits transit scheduling, and regulatory action. We will use reasonable endeavours to perform our services, but we do not guarantee specific transit times unless expressly agreed in writing.
5. Your obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete and timely information about cargo, vessels, documentation and parties
- Ensure cargo is lawfully supplied, properly packed, marked and declared, and that all required permits and licences are in place
- Comply with applicable sanctions, export control, customs and maritime regulations
- Pay invoiced amounts in accordance with the agreed terms
We may decline or suspend a service where information is inaccurate, where documentation is incomplete, or where performing the service would breach applicable law or sanctions.
6. Prohibited cargo
We do not carry unlawful goods, undeclared dangerous goods, or cargo destined for a party subject to applicable sanctions. You are responsible for correctly classifying and declaring dangerous goods and for providing the required documentation.
7. Charges and payment
Charges are as set out in the applicable quotation or tariff. Additional costs arising from inaccurate declarations, delays caused by the customer, demurrage, detention, storage or regulatory action are payable by the customer. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are payable on the terms stated on the invoice.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any service is subject to the limitations and exclusions in the applicable trading conditions and any applicable international convention. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of market or loss of business opportunity. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Insurance
Unless expressly agreed in writing, we do not insure your cargo. You are responsible for arranging appropriate cargo insurance. Where we arrange insurance at your request, we do so as your agent and not as insurer.
10. Claims and time limits
Claims must be notified to us promptly and in any event within the period stipulated by the applicable trading conditions or convention. Late notification may prejudice the claim.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, layout, graphics, photographs and the company logo — is owned by us or licensed to us, and may not be copied, reproduced or redistributed without written permission.
12. Third-party links
Where this site links to third-party websites, we do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts, without prejudice to any dispute-resolution mechanism agreed in a specific contract.
14. Changes
We may amend these terms at any time by publishing an updated version on this page. Continued use of the site after publication constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
